Jamie Sindelar

Head Golf Professional

Jamie was born and raised in Horseheads, NY. Now 32, he now lives with his wife Shelby in Watkins Glen, NY. As a kid following his Dad Joey on the PGA Tour, he started playing the game and developed a love for all things golf early in life. He competed at Horseheads High School(2003-08), and went on to play for The Ohio State University and earn his BA of Economics (2008-12). After finding success on the amateur level, he turned professional in the fall of 2012, and has competed in over 300 professional events across the Korn Ferry Tour, Mackenzie Tour- PGA Tour Canada, State Opens, The Minor League Golf Tour, and other “Mini Tours”, achieving 23 wins. Away from golf he enjoys fishing, hiking, cooking, and the outdoors, and loves to talk all sports!

“I’m absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to provide high-level instruction and a fantastic golf experience to golfers of all skill level here at RaNic. I have always loved teaching golf, and over my time in golf and as a professional I have had access to some of the best players, teachers and coaches in today’s game, and I am eager to pass along knowledge to help golfers learn about their game, shoot lower scores, and ultimately enjoy the game more. Having always called the Finger Lakes home, there is a feeling of pride for me when it comes to Central New York golf, and I am excited to help build on that legacy here at RaNic! I am looking forward to meeting all the current and future members, and representing everyone in a positive fashion” – Jamie Sindelar

Kyle Shaw

Golf Course Superintendent

Hello RaNic members! My name is Kyle Shaw and I am your new Golf Course Superintendent. I am very proud and happy to be a part of the RaNic family and cannot
wait to continue to meet everyone as the 2022 golf season approaches! These are very exciting times at the club with a great future ahead of us.

I arrive from Long Island with my wife (Jessica), daughter (Zoey) and dog (Napa). Growing up in Groton, I have been around the Central New York golf scene all of my life and am excited to now be back living in Ithaca. I obtained my Bachelors in Turfgrass Management from SUNY Cobleskill and Associates in business from TC3. I have spent the last 7 years at the Glen Oaks Club working for one of the top superintendents in the world, Craig Currier. At Glen Oaks, we hosted the 2017 Northern Trust FedEx Cup playoff event, the 2021 LET Aramco Team Series as well as a number of top MET area tournaments.

I take great pride in my work to produce pristine, championship level playing conditions each and every day. With that being said, there is a lot of work to be done to the golf course to achieve these standards and my crew and I are making strides everyday to improve the course.

Again, I am honored to be your Golf Course Superintendent and look forward to seeing
everyone on the course!
